What items to put ina baby hamper for my cousins baby shower?

My cousin is due to have her son on 13th april and her mum is arranging a baby shower for 4th. I am planning to make a baby hamper with my mum. She has knitted some mittens, cardigans and hats and i was thinking of putting in some muslin squares, toiletries, booties etc. What else should we include in the hamper?|||Great idea, I love hampers!





Might I suggest:





*diapers


*baby washclothes


*"baby on board"sign for car


*window shades or clings


*rubber duckie (specifically, the "Munchkin" brand which says "HOT" on the bottom, it turns from blue to white if the baby's bathtub water is too hot)





Is she bottle or breast feeding? If she's breastfeeding, include a nursing wrap





If she's bottle feeding, a bottle brush and a bottle warmer would be good.





These are things that I usually give at showers, the mothers frequently tell me they never thought to ask for things like that. You don't want to give her too many bibs or teething rings, these are items which aren't usually on people's lists.|||those little keys for babys

im not sure you seem to have it covered! x x|||A pamper kit for mum after all she goes through everyone always gets things for baby :)|||Maybe a small blanket to cover her/him up when she's sleeping, or a pack of diapers. You could even make like a tiny little pillow with the baby's name on it or a small message for the baby|||Gas drops, infant tylenol, aspirator, for his little nose for when it gets stuffed up, bottle washer, a couple bottles, a little pack of diapers, wipes, q-tips for babies, baby wash, wash cloths. U know just little things like that will come in handy for later.|||The best gift I got for my baby shower was organic onesies and cotton sleepwear from Funkoos.com. The fabric was so soft on the baby's skin that I have become a fan of Funkoos Organic Baby Clothes.





Other useful things which I got in my baby shower and really appreciated was blanket, booties, mittens, nail cutter and thermometer.
