Let r be her rate in still water


13.5/(r+x)=1.5


13.5 =1.5r+1.5x -------(1)


13.5/(r-x)=4.5


13.5=4.5r-4.5x -------(2)


Solve (1) and (2)


r=6 mph--- Ina's rate in still water


x=3 mph-- rate of current
